GOOgle or CO2-gle

One Google search produces about 0.2 g of CO2.

But since you hardly get an answer from one search, a typical search session produces about the same amount of CO2 as does boiling a tea kettle.

Google handles about 1 billion search queries per day, which amounts to some 200 tons of CO2 per day.

Algorithm meets Entertainment

Bing and Microsoft Research teamed up to create a constantly updated Oscar predictions list, which eventually came out pretty accurate.

Microsoft sees this as a chance to prove it’s ability to analyse and manipulate data.

Of the top 24 categories at this year’s Oscars, Microsoft’s Bing correctly predicted 20 winners for an 83 percent accuracy score, including all of the most prestigious Academy Award picks.

Pop-Up ads can be really irritating.
Concentrate on doing a task, be it reading, surfing, or playing games, and out of no where….. An ad pops up – disrupting both our concentration as well as the continuity of the task.

The man who invented pop up ads didn’t realize that his ‘new and innovative’ idea to showcase ads and messages would one day annoy millions of people across the globe, at any given instant.

Well, I’m not sure whether his ‘invention’ is so ‘annoying’ that he actually needs to apologize to us folks….. but the person did actually say SORRY !!
